  • Define integration approaches, including REST APIs, event streaming, ETL/iPaaS, and ESB, and develop canonical data models that reduce duplication and enable reuse.
  • Produce and maintain architecture artifacts, including diagrams, interface contracts, decision records, and threat models, aligned to ETS standards.
  • Partner with product owners, engineering, information security, and vendors to decompose requirements, estimate work, and plan delivery from proof of concept through MVP and scale.
  • Provide technical guidance during build and cutover, remove delivery impediments, and ensure non-functional requirements for performance, availability, resilience, and observability are met.
  • Govern design quality through reviews and automated checks, approve solution deviations, and manage technical debt.
  • Architect secure AWS/Azure workloads, including identity, networking, storage, and container orchestration, using landing zone patterns.
  • Design data pipelines and interfaces to enterprise warehouse/lakehouse platforms for analytics and AI use cases, applying data governance controls.
  • Collaborate on MLOps patterns, including feature stores and model deployment and monitoring, where applicable, and ensure responsible AI and model risk controls.
  • Embed security-by-design and align solutions with GLBA, PCI, SOC, and internal audit findings.
  • Conduct architecture risk assessments and threat modeling, support remediation plans, and ensure audit-ready documentation.
  • Champion architecture principles, patterns, and ETS standards, and propose updates based on lessons learned.
  • Evaluate third-party and SaaS solutions; lead technical sections of RFPs/RFIs, compare alternatives, and negotiate technical clauses with vendors.
