About The Position

PROENERGY is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect – D365 F&O Implementation Lead to serve as the primary internal solution owner for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation. This role will lead the functional architecture, own the end-to-end ERP solution design, and provide direct leadership to the Senior Functional Analysts supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Quality, Service, and related business processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring the D365 solution is scalable, supportable, aligned with business requirements, and implemented using standard functionality and leading practices wherever possible. The ideal candidate will have deep D365 F&O experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record delivering complex ERP programs in manufacturing, project-based, supply chain, or service-oriented environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of ERP experience, including significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX.
  • 5+ years of solution architecture or senior functional leadership experience.
  • Experience leading at least one full lifecycle D365 F&O implementation.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional ERP design across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Projects, Quality, and Order Management.
  • Experience managing or leading functional analysts, consultants, business analysts, or process leads.
  • Ability to translate business strategy and process needs into practical ERP solution designs.
  • Strong understanding of ERP governance, configuration, security, workflows, reporting, integrations, testing, cutover, and support models.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with executives, process owners, technical teams, business users, and implementation partners.
  • Ability to make decisions, resolve conflict, and drive standardization across business areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in complex manufacturing, engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, depot repair, EPC projects, field service, or industrial equipment businesses.
  • Experience replacing legacy systems such as Microsoft GP, standalone procurement tools, MRO systems, custom applications, and spreadsheet-driven processes.
  • Experience with IPO readiness, SOX controls, public-company reporting, or audit-sensitive environments.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure integrations, Dataverse, Lifecycle Services, Azure DevOps, and D365 testing tools.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM, CRM, field service, payroll/timekeeping, banking, and project scheduling integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal solution owner for the D365 F&O implementation.
  • Lead the Senior Functional Analyst team across assigned functional workstreams.
  • Own the overall functional architecture across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Quality, Service, Warehouse, and related processes.
  • Partner with business process owners, IT leadership, the systems integrator, and Microsoft resources to ensure the solution meets business objectives.
  • Drive future-state process design using D365 standard functionality wherever practical.
  • Review and approve functional designs, configuration decisions, process flows, test scenarios, security roles, workflow designs, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify cross-functional design impacts and resolve conflicts between business areas.
  • Ensure end-to-end processes are integrated across Concept to Market, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Order to Cash, Pick to Ship, Project Accounting, Post Sales Support, Quality Management, and Post to Close.
  • Challenge unnecessary customization and support a clean, scalable ERP design.
  • Coordinate with the Data Conversion and Integration Architect to ensure master data, transactional data, integrations, reporting, and cutover plans support the overall solution.
  • Support program governance, design authority, change control, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Lead solution readiness reviews for conference room pilots, system integration testing, UAT, training, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
  • Provide executive-level updates on solution risks, design decisions, process readiness, and implementation progress.
  • Build internal ERP capability so PROENERGY is not overly dependent on external consultants after go-live.
