Senior Solution Architect

Gusto, Inc.•Atlanta, GA
•$150,000 - $185,000

About The Position

Gusto is hiring its most senior individual contributor in Solutions Engineering. The role is the function’s final technical escalation point and sets technical strategy and standards across Solutions Engineering, addressing high-ambiguity problems that span deals, routes to market, and teams. The architect is expected to be equally effective working through API flows with engineers and discussing technical roadmaps with executives. The role owns technical strategy and hands-on integration and customization work for high-value enterprise and partner deals, including deep API and OAuth-based work from initial authorization through ongoing customization. It ensures committed integrations ship, turns bespoke work into reusable patterns and tooling, and uses insights across the function to influence product and engineering roadmaps. The position operates with full autonomy and mentors the wider Solutions Engineering team. Gusto has offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees based in those locations are expected to work in-office on designated days approximately two to three days per week or more, depending on the role. Approved work from other locations requires a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection. Regular and predictable attendance is expected for in-office, hybrid, and remote work.
