About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to support its Air & Missile Business Unit. The role develops and maintains systems engineering products for complex software-intensive systems, applying Model-Based Systems Engineering methods to define system behavior, interfaces, performance expectations, and verification criteria. The engineer decomposes system-level requirements into software and interface requirements and coordinates traceability and acceptance criteria with development and test teams. The position supports integration and interoperability across distributed systems and subsystems, including system-of-systems architectures. It involves collaboration with software developers, system architects, test engineers, users, and program stakeholders to resolve technical issues and assess engineering tradeoffs. The engineer also participates in Agile planning, technical reviews, integration, and verification activities, and prepares documentation and briefings to communicate findings and recommendations. This customer-site role follows a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule and may require travel of up to 10%. The position is contingent upon contract award. Onsite work is required as directed by program or customer needs. Relocation assistance is not available.
