About The Position

As a Senior Software Product Manager - eCommerce, this individual is responsible for leading the exploration, definition, implementation and execution of the GM Energy eCommerce site, in partnership with peer Product Managers, business stakeholders, technical counterparts and creative agencies. This role will work cross-functionally and oversee the ongoing management of the website, primarily focused but not limited to the front-end experience and marketing website. They will play a critical role in identifying, defining, managing cross-functionally, and executing the integration of various teams and solutions into the GM Energy eCommerce experience and customer journey, including but not limited to our GM Energy marketing, sales and GTM teams, GM brand teams, CRM teams, and other internal and external partners. This position requires someone who is a self-starter, fast learner and always thinks customer first. We are searching for an individual who can effectively prioritize and thrive in an ambiguous / fast-paced environment. The successful candidate for this role will be passionate about customer experience, understand eCommerce and digital best practices, and bring innovative ideas for how to aid in EV adoption and support customers shopping and buying energy products and services. This position reports to the Group Product Manager, Sales Enablement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in product management, marketing, program management, and/or customer experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Working knowledge of Jira Align/Jira, Adobe
  • Familiarity with EV and energy trends, industry, and competitive landscape
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to report and present to senior leadership on a frequent basis

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Senior Software Product Manager for GM Energy eCommerce website, owning strategy and roadmap for the platform alongside the Software Product Management, eCommerce team
  • Ownership and implementation of the front-end platform; including planning, communication, reporting, analysis, and vendor management
  • Partner with business stakeholders to shape ideas, develop creative briefs, and refine designs with creative agency teams
  • Lead creative and content workstreams through stakeholder and legal reviews, feedback management, testing / QA, and launch prioritization with other Software Product Managers
  • Explore, define, write, prioritize, and manage product features, work with IT development teams to create user stories and user acceptance criteria, and manage the feature backlog to support the agile development of deliverables
  • Understand and champion the customer needs; gather customer feedback through direct and indirect sources, and ensure product vision and roadmap meets those needs
  • With IT development and PMO partners, participate in Refinement, Sprint and PI planning, sprint demos and program syncs
  • Conduct effective project updates for stakeholders – including leadership – as required
  • Identify and implement strategies to grow engagement among users
  • Establish program measurement (KPIs, reporting) and monitor site analytics and performance, recommend countermeasures where appropriate
  • Lead usability / A/B testing and personalization efforts from design to implementation, monitoring performance, and translating results into clear recommendations
  • Perform research and collaborative exploration on new ideas / initiatives to further accelerate EV adoption & enable sales of GM Energy product
  • Partner with IT-DEV and QA teams to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and applications are successfully transitioned to production
  • Follow GM standard software development and deployment processes in functional specifications, user interface and database designs, testing methodology, training, and change management
  • Support broader GM Energy strategies and projects as required
  • Instill a culture of organizational excellence, including proactive, collaborative, supportive engagement cross-company
  • Embrace data-driven & customer insights to inform plans, launches, and iterations
  • Establish a strong, effective, & empathetic rapport with teams across-company to ensure all programs launch flawlessly and with high Dealer, customer, stakeholder enthusiasm
  • Ensure a culture of performance: establish bold targets, key performance indicators, and proactively employ countermeasures based on performance of programs vs objectives
  • Develop and present GM internal leadership updates with pre-reads and compelling storytelling
  • Launch with excellence, celebrate success, learn from failure
  • Champion brand & dealer integration (Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick-GMC, Envolve, OnStar) and ensure program status through effective communications
