About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. The role involves executing a specific development methodology through the application of various programming languages, creating and executing automated test plans/strategies, and performing dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and/or user acceptance testing. This position will support applications, solve configuration and environment issues, and support the software deployment process. The engineer will utilize .NET and Python programming languages, experience with development tools like Visual Studio and Power Automate, and Azure resources such as Synapse, Function Apps, and Blob Storage. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications, utilizing APIs for data integration, developing automated test plans, troubleshooting application issues, supporting software deployments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering and design specification, while applying software development best practices, coding standards, and security principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation
  • Utilizing .NET and Python programming languages
  • Experience with development tools including Visual Studio, Power Automate
  • Using Azure resources—including Synapse, Function Apps, and Blob Storage
  • Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications
  • Utilizing APIs to access and integrate data from various tools
  • Developing automated test plans
  • Troubleshooting application issues
  • Supporting software deployments
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering and design specification
  • Applying software development best practices, coding standards, and security principles

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories
  • Provide estimates
  • Create software design specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions
  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages
  • Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results
  • Design and implement code fixes
  • Validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting
  • Perform dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing
  • Support applications and solves configuration and environment issues
  • Supports the software deployment process
  • Utilize .NET and Python programming languages
  • Experience with development tools including Visual Studio, Power Automate
