About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer with cryptographic software experience to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team in El Segundo, California. PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise support to the US Space Force. The role works in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to develop and maintain software products for the Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) team, including managing software products and collaborating with customers and contributing engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Science.
• At least 5 years of overall experience.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating software.
• Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience working with or for the government.
• Demonstrated experience writing and delivering technical documents.

Nice To Haves

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• GPS experience.
• Experience with C++20, C#, Python, SQL, and gRPC.
• Experience with environments utilizing Podman, cmake, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize cryptographic software using innovative solutions.
• Support GPS enterprise integrated system testing.
• Support the development of GPS enterprise requirements, capabilities, architectures, concepts, designs, and technologies.
• Implement Y-code and M-code cryptographic algorithms in software.
• Validate National Security Agency (NSA) operational key material.
• Provide guidance and technical support for Crypto Management and NAVWAR.
• Collaborate with the government team, other program government leads, external organizations, and prime contractors.
• Participate as a subject matter expert in the GPS requirements process.
