Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its intelligence team and support IIA SWAT as the lead for a small team. The role works with combined data from different elements throughout the agency and builds agentic tools to help gather and curate information packages. The engineer works directly with the customer to learn workflows and see the results of the work firsthand. Day-to-day work includes direct interaction with customer leadership, analysts, and other developers; implementing solutions for mission needs; and participating in a team of teams working toward similar solutions for separate customers.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Twelve years of experience and a B.S. in a technical discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of a B.S.
- Extensive full-stack development experience, with an emphasis on AI workflows.
- Experience with customer cross-domain solutions.
- Experience soliciting and applying feedback.
- Experience with AI-assisted development.
- Experience programming in JavaScript and Python.
- Experience working with corporate services in the highside environment.
- Leadership experience.
Nice To Haves
- Development experience in a Linux environment.
- Prior experience in TAO.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Experience with pipeline data processing.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on a diverse set of existing highside services.
- Expand existing workflow automation efforts.
- Discover new opportunities to introduce agentic AI.
- Develop and maintain web apps to provide analytic and workflow support.
- Emphasize customer communication and gather feedback on project status and results.
- Lead a small team supporting IIA SWAT.
- Work directly with the customer to learn workflows and implement solutions supporting mission needs.
