About The Position

Nearform is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build applications using React and Python. The role involves working closely with clients and distributed teams to translate complex business requirements into secure, high-performance digital products. Engineers may work across a variety of projects and technologies, helping enterprises build new products and modernize legacy systems.

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level; Nearform Seniors typically have at least 8 years of commercial experience.
• Deep knowledge and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including React.
• Experience with Python backend development.
• Experience with AI-native development practices and tools.
• Understanding of AI and agentic workflows, and motivation to stay current with emerging LLM technologies.
• Practical experience delivering in an agile environment.
• Practical experience and knowledge developing real-world solutions.
• Deep understanding of version control tools such as Git.
• Testing experience and familiarity with tools for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Practical, real-world experience working with databases and cloud environments.
• Experience building software collaboratively using pull requests and code reviews.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
• Ability to travel to client sites within the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AI application development and agentic frameworks and platforms, such as LangGraph or Agentspace.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of software components, and uphold personal technical quality standards within the project team.
• Help define structured practices, particularly for source code management, building, and deployment.
• Design and implement data storage solutions.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Gather feedback from users and clients and build solutions in response.
• Assist with analyzing client requirements.
• Work with and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with client teams.
