Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with deep hands-on Python and solid React expertise.
  • Daily, serious use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in production environments, with informed opinions on their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Strong experience in API design, relational databases, and CI/CD pipelines (PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions or CircleCI, AWS).
  • A proven track record of shipping and operating production systems, including on-call experience and incident resolution.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Based in Georgia and able to work as an independent contractor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building agentic workflows or LLM features into a product (e.g., tool use, evals, prompt caching, cost control).
  • Experience with React Native, Elastic Stack, or a background in proptech, travel, or marketplace industries.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship backend services and APIs using Python 3, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and Redis, as well as the React/React Native frontends they power.
  • Lead by example in AI-assisted development, including agentic coding tools, prompt and context engineering, automated review, test generation, and evaluation.
  • Set and uphold engineering standards for CI, peer review, automated testing, observability, and safe releases on AWS.
  • Integrate with and maintain reliable integrations for third-party platforms such as Airbnb, booking channels, payments, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate complex hosting challenges into functional software.
  • Mentor team members through code reviews and by example, facilitating the adoption of effective practices.

Benefits

  • USD 4,500–6,000/month contractor fee excl. VAT (≈ GEL 11,700–15,600)
  • Fully remote from anywhere in Georgia (Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi or elsewhere), with overlap to UK working hours
  • Latest AI tooling paid for and expected to be used
  • A direct line to the CEO and real influence over how a fast-growing proptech is built
  • An international, collaborative team that values quality, speed and curiosity
