Beli - Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
Beli is a social app for restaurant lists, maps, and personalized recommendations. The company has 10 people, has raised over $30M, and is located in NYC. This role involves owning iOS/Android app features end-to-end, including research, design, build, launch, and measurement. You will also work on full-stack features in Python/Django, Postgres, and Angular/Ionic, shipping to millions of users. Collaboration with the CTO/CEO on growth, engagement, and retention is expected, as there are no Product Managers. Key areas of leadership include search, recommendations, partnerships (Tinder, reservations/delivery), translation, computer vision, and shareable content. You will mentor junior engineers as the team scales from approximately 3 to 7+ engineers, run A/B tests, and interact with users. The tech stack includes Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Angular, Ionic, TypeScript, JavaScript, iOS, Android, and Figma.
