About The Position

Honeydew is building a digitally native dermatology platform that helps people with chronic skin conditions access licensed specialists, FDA-approved treatments, and ongoing support. The Senior Software Engineer - Platform will strengthen the platform so feature teams can deliver more quickly and reliably. The role includes platform, data, security, compliance, and developer-tooling work, as well as reviewing and testing teammates’ work and partnering with feature teams and other stakeholders to shape platform capabilities. The engineer will work with the engineering manager to identify and plan projects, then execute them using agentic engineering methods. Initial priorities include standardizing and optimizing platform logging for AI-supported troubleshooting, followed by implementing processes and infrastructure that enable AI agents to open pull requests autonomously to address dependency vulnerabilities and other issues. Further platform and security improvements will be determined over time. The role also involves migrating the data layer to RDS, strengthening security and compliance across a multi-account AWS organization, and supporting feature teams with data and security requests. Honeydew’s technology includes TypeScript, Python, SQL, React, Node.js, AWS Lambda, GraphQL, REST, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, S3, AWS infrastructure, Terraform, CI/CD systems, and AI APIs and tools.
