About The Position

As an Engineer on Iru’s Software Delivery & Developer Experience (SDDX) team, you will help the engineering organization ship high-quality software quickly while maintaining product security and reliability. The role focuses on improving the developer experience and advancing continuous delivery, including applying agentic AI to CI/CD, infrastructure, and developer tooling. You will own and improve organization-wide delivery systems and treat internal engineers as customers of the SDDX tools and frameworks. The position spans the end-to-end software development experience, from initial code writing through post-deployment production observability. You will use experimentation, release, and observability practices; promote cross-team improvements through influence rather than mandate; and use productivity metrics to inform decisions. Success includes improving delivery metrics across teams, earning engineers’ trust, encouraging adoption of tools, and establishing shared practices that scale.

Requirements

  • A learning-oriented mindset and ability to quickly learn new technologies, platforms, and tools, teach them to others, and promote their use.
  • Platform engineering and customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work with Python and Bash, and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort with at least one workflow orchestration tool; GitHub Actions is preferred, while CircleCI, Jenkins, or equivalent tools are acceptable.
  • Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes ConfigMaps.
  • Experience building dashboards and monitors using Datadog or a similar tool to track build-system performance and failures.
  • Experience developing software and understanding developer friction, slow deployments, and related workflow challenges.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining Terraform repositories that deploy AWS resources across multiple AWS accounts and receive contributions from multiple teams.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and interest in investing in their growth.

  • Improve software delivery speed while maintaining quality, security, and reliability.
  • Own the end-to-end software development experience, from writing code through post-deployment production observability.
  • Treat engineers as customers and SDDX tools and frameworks as products; define and follow practices for experimentation, release, and observability.
  • Propose, design, promote, and implement cross-team initiatives that improve product quality, reliability, security, and engineer productivity.
  • Use standard and custom productivity metrics to monitor engineer satisfaction and guide decisions.
  • Mentor other engineers and support their growth.
