About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on Iru’s Software Delivery & Developer Experience (SDDX) team, you will enable the engineering organization to deliver high-quality software quickly, securely, and reliably. The role focuses on advancing Iru’s Continuous Delivery platform, improving CI/CD and developer tooling, and finding practical ways to apply agentic AI to engineers’ day-to-day work. You will own and improve the end-to-end software development experience, from writing the first line of code through post-deployment production observability. Iru engineers are treated as customers, while SDDX tools and frameworks are treated as products, with experimentation, release, and observability guided by industry-standard practices. The team uses data and productivity metrics to guide decisions and pursues cross-team improvements through influence and partnership rather than mandates. The role is part of a hybrid work environment requiring three days in the office per week. Requirements

Demonstrate a learn-it-all mindset, quickly picking up new technologies, platforms, and tools and being able to teach others and promote their use.
Have a Platform Engineering and customer-centric mindset.
Be proficient in Python and Bash, and able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Be comfortable with at least one workflow orchestration tool; GitHub Actions is preferred, while CircleCI, Jenkins, or equivalent tools are acceptable.
Have experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes ConfigMaps.
Have experience building dashboards and monitors with Datadog or a similar tool to assess build-system performance and failures.
Have software development experience and an understanding of friction in development workflows and slow deployments.
Have experience setting up and maintaining Terraform repositories that deploy AWS resources across multiple AWS accounts, with contributions from multiple teams.
Have mentored other engineers and enjoyed supporting their growth.

Nice To Haves

Experience with GitHub Actions, the preferred workflow orchestration tool.
Experience with CircleCI, Jenkins, or an equivalent workflow orchestration tool.

Responsibilities

Advance the Continuous Delivery platform to help developers ship safely and quickly.
Apply agentic AI to CI/CD, infrastructure, and developer tooling in practical ways.
Build, own, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for the engineering organization.
Evaluate tools, run proofs of concept, and introduce tools that improve engineering effectiveness.
Implement self-service offerings that remove bottlenecks while helping engineers follow shared practices.
Own the end-to-end software development experience, from initial coding through post-deployment production observability.
Treat engineers as customers and SDDX tools and frameworks as products, using industry-standard experimentation, release, and observability processes.
Propose, design, promote, and implement cross-team initiatives that improve product quality, reliability, and security, as well as engineer happiness and productivity.
Use productivity metrics to assess engineer satisfaction and inform priorities.
Mentor other engineers and contribute to their growth.
