About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join an innovative engineering team dedicated to delivering high-quality, scalable cloud-native applications and APIs supporting dental claims, attachment processing, and Image Intelligence capabilities. Our team's vision is to transform healthcare operational workflows through cutting-edge technology, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Microsoft Azure, and AI-enabled intelligent automation. In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, drive technical excellence, and build solutions that directly impact healthcare quality and efficiency. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing with Java
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
  • 2+ years of experience with any cloud-native architecture

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience or familiarity with AI/ML-enabled solutions, document processing, computer vision, or generative AI technologies
  • Experience building solutions for dental claims processing, attachment processing, or Image Intelligence capabilities
  • Experience mentoring junior software engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale distributed applications
  • 3+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating in an Agile development environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native applications and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure technologies
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting dental claims, attachment processing, and Image Intelligence capabilities
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, coding, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement
  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, automation, DevOps best practices, performance optimization, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on the responsible use of AI
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
  • Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation
