About The Position

Belay Technologies is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (SWE3) to join their intel team. This role requires technical experience with web application and/or front-end languages and technologies, full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, and the ability to provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. The engineer will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, designing feature specifications, conducting design and code reviews, and working on problems of diverse scopes independently.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
  • Twenty (20) or more years of experience with web application and/or front-end languages and technologies plus a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university OR Twenty-four (24) years of development experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineer to design feature specifications and build products
  • Conduct design and code reviews
  • Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance
  • Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area, or systems
