About The Position

Cisco Secure Common Services Platform Engineering, part of Cisco's Security Business Group, builds foundational services powering products across Cisco Security Cloud. The platform includes Common Provisioning, Identity and Access Management, Common Objects Service, Posture Service, and Policy Service, providing shared capabilities for security objects, posture, and policy. The team works on Go microservices, event-driven Kafka pipelines, and Kubernetes/EKS infrastructure, with engineers owning problems end to end and collaborating closely. The Senior Software Engineer will design and build core Common Services Platform components or solutions for scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native deployments. The role partners with Product Management on requirements and planning, collaborates across teams on end-to-end functionality and integration, develops prototypes to validate approaches, mentors junior engineers, and influences system design and implementation.
