About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing gaps and modifications between customer expectations and existing solutions, classifying requirements, and anticipating solution risks. You will contribute to the creation of user stories, assist in designing solutions that ensure processes and applications work in tandem, and evaluate trade-offs during component design. You will convert high-level designs into detailed designs, create and configure code to meet business and technical requirements, and assist in selecting appropriate development tools. You will also build automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy requirements are met. Your responsibilities will extend to mapping customer requirements to test objectives, creating and executing test cases, tracking and analyzing defects, and troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks. You will conduct complex maintenance procedures, monitor application performance, and evaluate change requests. Ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

Experience with MongoDB and Cassandra NoSQL Databases for high-volume, distributed data storage.
Experience coding in Java, Python, and Scala object-oriented programming languages for backend development.
Experience monitoring and debugging the health status of microservices by using Splunk for log aggregation and analysis.
Experience building event-driven applications using RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ message brokers.
Experience implementing service synchronization and data streaming using Kafka for high-throughput, fault-tolerant pipelines.
Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java frameworks.
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for automated testing and incremental rollout of software releases.
Experience designing Relational Database Management Systems with MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
Experience working with Containerization technologies, specifically Docker, for packaging and deploying microservices and ensuring environment consistency.
Experience using Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms for managing, scaling, and automating deployment of large-scale applications.
Experience designing and deploying highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud-native applications on AWS or GCP/Azure.
Experience with Distributed Systems Design principles, including consistency models, fault tolerance, high-availability and cost optimal architecture.
Experience handling System Scalability and performance tuning, including load balancing, caching strategies, and sharding techniques.
Experience utilizing Unit Testing frameworks and Integration Testing methodologies to ensure code quality and reliability.
Experience working with Git and modern Version Control workflows for collaborative software development.
Experience following Agile development methodologies for managing project requirements and ensuring on-time delivery.
Experience on debugging Java, Python code using Flamegraphs, pdb, and other data-based technologies.

Responsibilities

Assist in conversion of HD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic.
Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application ensuring business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs are met.
Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
Implement telemetry features as required independently.
Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
Map customer requirements into test objectives.
Identify and create test cases for the component/module.
Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects.
Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
Track and analyze defects for the component/module and carry out regression testing.
Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis.
Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
Ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
