Requirements

  • 6+ years of native iOS (Swift) engineering experience, with a track record of shipping complex apps or SDKs at scale.
  • Strong opinions on clean SDK and API design, with deep empathy for external developers integrating the work.
  • Ability to take a vague product requirement and turn it into a fluid, responsive mobile experience without much guidance.
  • Deep UX sensitivity, focusing on details like motion, gesture ergonomics, and accessibility.
  • Understanding of iOS depths and ability to push platform-native capabilities (voice routing, background execution, app extensions) to their limits.
  • Desire to be hands-on in a role where senior engineers ship code.
  • Comfortable occasionally crossing the stack (e.g., GraphQL, Go) to unblock oneself and fine-tune end-to-end flows.

Responsibilities

  • Own our iOS SDKs, which customers use to embed Giga's chat and voice agents into their mobile apps.
  • Lead the technical direction for how Giga agents appear on mobile, making architectural decisions around UI surfaces, animations, voice interactions, and performance.
  • Write code, own the iOS infrastructure, and ship features.
  • Work closely with design and the web frontend team to identify and build next-generation mobile experiences.
  • Ensure native integrations are considered and cohesive with the core product.
  • Drive the technical direction for how Giga agents live on mobile devices.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of native iOS SDKs, making core architectural tradeoffs for seamless embedding of voice and chat agents.
  • Push the boundaries of native mobile capabilities for agent interaction with iOS features like voice routing, background execution, notifications, and app extensions.
  • Focus on UI and performance excellence, including motion, gesture handling, and accessibility, ensuring smooth animations, zero latency, and resilient offline behavior.
