About The Position

The Internal AI team builds and maintains Anduril’s AI infrastructure and tooling, including autonomous coding agents, agentic automation systems, agent frameworks, and model-serving components. The team partners with groups across the company to apply AI infrastructure to workflow automation.

Anduril is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to help expand its internal AI ecosystem. The role focuses on developing infrastructure and tooling for autonomous coding and agentic automation. Success requires curiosity, strong communication, a product mindset, the ability to take ideas through implementation, and ownership of work.

Requirements

• Deep interest in emerging AI technologies and their practical implementations.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify workflows into modular, reusable automation components.
• 1–2 years of experience taking AI systems into production, or 2–4 years of experience with traditional machine learning.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience using and optimizing AI coding assistants in a collaborative production environment.
• Strong stakeholder and cross-functional communication skills, including gathering workflow requirements and translating them into technical automation.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Practical professional experience enabling agents, skills, MCP, and other emerging AI technologies.
• Experience with process automation, event-driven architecture, and a modular or “unix daemon” software mindset.
• Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments and demonstrated success scaling and maturing software development processes.
• Familiarity with cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Propose, prototype, build, and deploy agentic systems that address real-world problems using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Work cross-functionally with business lines to scope solutions for pain points and manual workflows.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, feature workflows, and model-serving components that support applied AI use cases.
• Stay current on AI technologies and trends and evangelize their practical applications.
