About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing gaps and modifications between customer expectations and existing product solutions, classifying requirements, and anticipating solution risks. You will contribute to the creation of user stories, assist in designing solutions that ensure processes and applications work in tandem, and evaluate trade-offs during component design. You will convert high-level designs into detailed designs, create and configure code to meet business and technical requirements, and assist in selecting appropriate development tools. You will also learn new coding languages and frameworks, build automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy requirements are met. Additionally, you will map customer requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, track and analyze defects, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, conduct maintenance procedures, monitor application performance, and evaluate change requests. You will ensure adherence to project milestones and timelines.

Requirements

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
Experience designing and developing RESTful backend services using Node.js in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience building scalable backend systems using microservices architecture principles.
Experience designing high-performance SQL database schemas and queries.
Experience working with NoSQL databases.
Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, JWT, and LDAP.
Experience developing frontend JavaScript applications using ReactJS, along with Redux, HTML, CSS, and Next.js.
Experience implementing caching and performance optimization techniques using Redis.
Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest and Mocha in JavaScript.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build and release processes using Jenkins.
Experience deploying and maintaining services in cloud environments including AWS and Azure.
Experience working in Agile software development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience troubleshooting production issues in Kubernetes-based environments.
Experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems in a development and deployment environment.
Experience using observability and monitoring tools including Grafana and Splunk for system monitoring.
Experience programming in object-oriented language Java.
Experience using source code management tool Git for version control and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Assess gaps/updates/modifications between customer/business expectations and existing product/solutions.
Classify requirements into applicable types.

Assist in converting High Level Design (HD) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes, and detailed functional logic.
Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application, ensuring it meets business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs.
Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards, and tools for software coding/configuration.
Take initiative to learn fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing, or other processes.
Implement telemetry features independently.
Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied during code development/configuration.
Map customer requirements into test objectives.
Identify and create test cases for the component/module.
Execute test cases to test code and detect errors and defects.
Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
Track and analyze defects for the component/module and carry out regression testing.
Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
Monitor and evaluate application performance by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, and performance data.
Evaluate change requests to identify valid and feasible ones.
Ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
