About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing gaps and modifications between customer expectations and existing solutions, classifying requirements, and anticipating solution risks. You will contribute to the creation of user stories, assist in designing solutions that ensure processes and applications work in tandem, and evaluate trade-offs during component design. You will convert high-level designs into detailed designs, create and configure code to meet business and technical requirements, and assist in selecting appropriate languages, standards, and tools. You will also build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and other processes, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy requirements are applied. Your responsibilities will extend to mapping customer requirements to test objectives, creating and executing test cases, tracking and analyzing defects, troubleshooting performance and availability issues, and conducting complex maintenance procedures. You will monitor and evaluate application performance, perform maintenance and re-engineering activities, analyze application logs and performance data, and evaluate change requests. Ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area.
Experience with coding languages including Java, JavaScript, Python, and C#.
Experience with frameworks including Selenium, Appium, Nightwatch JS, and Eggplant.
Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Experience analyzing product requirements.
Experience identifying and creating test cases for product requirements and come up with the test strategy using confluence, Test Rail.
Experience executing test cases in different test environments to test the component and detect defects for the entire component.
Experience with front end automation testing using tools including Selenium, Nightwatch JS, and Eggplant.
Experience creating extensive automated regression, sanity test suites for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD process.
Experience with backend testing by architecting automated API suites and microservices using Python, Pytest and leveraging Postman for functional validation supporting seamless continuous integration (CI/CD) of backend services.
Experience selecting the appropriate languages and tools for software coding/configuration and testing needs.
Experience developing automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and accelerate release cycles.
Experience tracking and analyzing defects for the component/ module in defect tracking tools.
Experience analyzing defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects.
Experience using Git/GitHub to maintain version history, facilitate code reviews, and streamline team integration.
Experience driving SDLC efficiencies through Agile principles, including leading daily stand-ups, participating and driving sprint planning meetings and ensuring adherence to the project against approved timelines.
Experience implementing logging and performance tracking to monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics using Grafana tool.
Experience in DevOps using debugging tools, automating CI / CD pipelines, application monitoring tools, and mocking and analyzing application logs.

Responsibilities

Assess gaps/updates/modifications between customer/business expectations and existing product/solutions.
Classify requirements into applicable types.

Assist in conversion of High Level Design (HD) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic.
Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application ensuring business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs are met.
Assist in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
Implement telemetry features as required independently.
Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
Map customer requirements into test objectives.
Identify and create test cases for the component/module.
Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects.
Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
Track and analyze defects for the component/module and carry out regression testing.
Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects.
Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
Conduct complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provide analysis.
Evaluate change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
Ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
