About The Position

MISUMI Americas is rewriting the manufacturing industry, which is largely held together by spreadsheets, phone calls, and fax machines. They are building a cloud-based, AI-powered digital manufacturing platform that takes companies from prototype to production faster than the industry thought possible. This platform pairs intelligent software with a global network of vetted manufacturing partners, powering innovation across electric vehicles, robotics, and next-generation consumer products. They are looking for engineers who want to solve hard, real-world problems.

Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong skills in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience building systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.)
Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
Experience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
A commitment to writing unit and integration tests
Knowledge of system design, caching, and security best practices (OWASP Top 10)
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder)

Nice To Haves

AWS certification
Experience with high-scale or business-critical systems

Responsibilities

Design and develop highly available, scalable backend services in AWS
Build and maintain event-driven, asynchronous systems using Node.js
Create robust APIs (REST / GraphQL) powering customer-facing and internal tools
Partner closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to ship features that actually move the business
Contribute to technical design discussions and drive best practices across the team
Debug production issues and improve system reliability
Continuously improve code quality through testing, observability, and documentation
