About The Position

Seeking a senior iOS software engineer to build high-performance applications powered by large language models (LLMs) for Apple users. This hands-on role focuses on creating intelligent on-device experiences and defining scalable software architecture that integrates LLM agents into the Apple ecosystem while prioritizing user privacy and on-device performance.

The engineer will establish architectural foundations for AI-driven applications and build applications that connect user-facing experiences to on-device and hybrid AI reasoning and planning engines. The role also involves rapidly prototyping new interactions and architectural approaches for on-device AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level experience building high-performance, consumer-facing mobile applications and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in a modern systems programming language such as C++, Objective-C/Swift, or Rust.
• Deep understanding of mobile system fundamentals, including concurrency, memory management, and power optimization.
• Practical knowledge of LLM-powered systems, including agent frameworks and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted development workflows, including using them for complex debugging, architectural trade-offs, or automation tasks.
• Experience with on-device machine learning frameworks such as Core ML and Foundation Model.
• Experience with SwiftUI and modern iOS architectural patterns.
• Knowledge of model quantization, caching, and other on-device optimization techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-platform development, such as building for both iOS and macOS.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build innovative, high-performance on-device iOS applications showcasing intelligent LLM agents.
• Design client-side frameworks and architectural patterns for efficiently integrating LLM systems on iOS.
• Implement software connecting user-facing applications to on-device and hybrid AI reasoning and planning engines.
• Rapidly build and iterate on application prototypes to explore new user interactions and architectural options.
