About The Position

Waymo’s Systems Engineering team blends software and hardware systems, establishes high performance standards for vehicle operation and passenger safety, and designs and performs tests to validate performance. The Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Test Systems will develop agentic systems to accelerate release qualification and improve developer velocity. The role spans frontend and backend technologies, multiple programming languages, and large software systems, with a focus on understanding test development and execution workflows and creating novel automation solutions. The position follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to a Technical Lead Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and productionizing agents, agent harnessing, and AI-backed systems.
• At least 5 years of work experience in C++ or Python.
• Ability and ambition to learn new skills as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Dev AI leader and policy maker.
• Experience with robotics, firmware, hardware-in-the-loop, and other hardware-based software products.
• Experience with test development, test automation, and test engineering.
• Experience with UX design.
• Experience with release management practices and tools.
