About The Position

We are seeking a senior iOS Software Engineer with deep experience building applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). This hands-on development role focuses on creating intelligent on-device experiences for Apple users. The engineer will build iOS applications that serve as the primary interface for on-device AI and explore and define the architecture for a scalable, high-performance system integrating LLM agents into the Apple ecosystem, with an emphasis on user privacy and on-device performance. The role provides an opportunity to establish foundational architecture for AI-driven applications and on-device experiences.

The role includes architecting and building high-performance on-device applications showcasing LLM agents; designing client-side frameworks and architectural patterns for integrating LLM systems efficiently on iOS; implementing software connecting user-facing applications to on-device and hybrid AI reasoning and planning engines; and rapidly building and iterating on prototypes to explore new interactions and architectural options.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level experience building high-performance, consumer-facing mobile applications and frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in a modern systems programming language such as C++, Objective-C/Swift, or Rust.
• Deep understanding of mobile system fundamentals, including concurrency, memory management, and power optimization.
• Practical knowledge of how LLM-powered systems work, including agent frameworks and RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted development workflows, including using them for complex debugging, architectural trade-offs, or automation tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with on-device ML frameworks such as Core ML or Foundation Model.
• Experience with SwiftUI and modern iOS architectural patterns.
• Knowledge of model quantization, caching, and other on-device optimization techniques.
• Experience with multi-platform development, such as building for both iOS and macOS.
