This role focuses on creating virtual in-the-loop environments for the development, verification, and validation of embedded controllers and calibrations for various vehicle systems including hybrid, electrification, engine, transmission, chassis, and intelligent brake controls. The engineer will work with virtual electronic control units (V-ECUs) and integrate them into system-level simulation models. Responsibilities include participating in the modeling of Hybrid Vehicle Systems, debugging and deploying subsystem models, and creating/utilizing virtual controller models across different simulations. The role also involves creating, maintaining, and testing virtual controller components, parameterizing sub-system models, integrating Plant and other ECU models, and developing/maintaining serial data connectivity links. The position follows a hybrid work policy of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, requiring the ability to report to a local office.
