About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, and maintains backend systems supporting financial operations, including payment processing, claims management, and financial reporting. The role works with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance backend solutions for revenue cycle management (RCM) workflows such as billing, claims processing, and payment reconciliation. The engineer builds backend services using .NET (C#), Python, and SQL; architects systems integrating third-party APIs, internal services, and cloud infrastructure; and optimizes database schemas, stored procedures, and queries for high-volume transactional systems. The role also contributes to technical design, code reviews, sprint planning, CI/CD deployment and monitoring, healthcare data security and compliance, production troubleshooting, and system documentation. The engineer provides guidance to junior software engineers on technical practices, code quality, and career development.

Requirements

Five years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Developer, Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Three years of experience using all of the following: .NET, Python, SQL, AWS microservices, CI/CD automation, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, Jira, React, Ajax, DevOps pipelines, C#, and Splunk.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; an equivalent foreign degree is accepted.
A suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be accepted.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems for financial operations, including payment processing, claims management, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.
Develop backend services using .NET (C#), Python, and SQL to support RCM workflows such as billing, claims processing, and payment reconciliation.
Architect scalable systems that integrate with third-party APIs, internal services, and cloud infrastructure.
Implement and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and queries for high-volume transactional systems.
Lead technical design sessions, code reviews, and sprint planning meetings.
Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and monitor services using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Ensure system security and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data regulations.
Apply knowledge of .NET, Python, SQL, AWS microservices, CI/CD automation, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, Jira, React, Ajax, DevOps pipelines, C#, and Splunk in assigned duties.
Provide guidance to junior software engineers on best practices, code quality, and career development.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
Document system architecture, APIs, and workflows to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
