About The Position

Loancrate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to focus on Onboarding Automation. The company aims to simplify and reduce the cost of home buying for lenders and borrowers by automating mortgage workflows with AI-native tooling. This role is crucial for scaling the company's growth by transforming the enterprise onboarding process from a services project into a product, making it more automated and efficient.

Requirements

Experience productizing an implementation process, replacing manual setup with tooling.
Understanding of config systems that scale and are maintainable.
Experience with configuration-as-code principles: versioning, diffing, validating, and promoting customer configuration through environments.
Experience with data migration under pressure, moving production records off legacy systems with validation, reconciliation, and rollback plans.

Multi-tenant experience, including per-tenant isolation, per-tenant rollout, and operational discipline.
SRE-oriented mindset for reliable, observable infrastructure with minimal toil.
Keen eye for security risks, especially concerning credentials and access rules.
Comfort with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and CI/CD systems.
Full-stack range, including building UIs for implementation leads or customer admins.
Willingness to shadow onboarding processes to identify manual steps worth automating.

Responsibilities

Turn the enterprise onboarding process from a services project into a product.
Develop declarative configuration for customer setup, enabling diffing, reviewing, promotion through environments, and rollback.
Build tenant provisioning that sets up a fully configured enterprise environment (org hierarchy, roles, permissions, workflows, integrations) from a versioned config file within hours.
Create a toolchain for migrating in-flight loan pipelines and historical data from legacy systems like Encompass, producing a reconciliation report.
Extend release machinery for a multi-tenant environment, including per-tenant feature flags and staged rollouts.
Build smoke tests and conformance suites to validate customer integrations end-to-end.
Ship code to production on the first day.
Dive into mission-critical projects within the first month.
