Requirements

  • A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience on product development of optical components, photonics, or telecom systems
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced test automation
  • Proficiency in Software Development
  • Experience in the design and/or testing of optical components and subsystems for optical communications.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment
  • Expertise in test automation, including interaction with devices under test and test equipment.
  • Experience in any one (or more) of the following: Python, Flutter, Dart, VB.NET, C#
  • Experience leveraging packages and frameworks in a software development context
  • Familiarity with Agile software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced optical test and verification strategies to transition breakthrough products from the design phase to full-scale production.
  • Conduct in-depth characterization of key optical parameters, using advanced techniques to ensure our products are optimized for real-world performance.
  • Utilize sophisticated data analysis methods to extract insights, solve challenges, and improve optical designs.
  • Collaborate on integrating AI tools into test and characterization workflows to unlock new levels of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align product requirements.
  • Create scalable, well-documented test solutions and validate products using Agile methodologies.
  • Gain hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned experts in optical testing, characterization, and advanced data analysis, setting the foundation for a successful career.
