Senior Software Engineer, ISF

BoxRedwood City, CA
$198,500 - $248,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Identity and Security Foundation (ISF) team serves as the gatekeeper to Box. Every request to access Box services must be authenticated through one of the systems we manage. We own the authentication experience across Box - including web, API, service-to-service, and SSO; and architect, build, and operate the foundational identity infrastructure that underpins Box’s security. As Box evolves into an AI-powered content platform, ISF is at the forefront of securing the next generation of intelligent experiences. We are extending our identity and access foundations to support AI services, enabling secure interactions between users, applications, and AI agents while protecting customer data and enabling trustworthy AI adoption at scale. Whether we're scaling systems to handle billions of requests per day, building seamless and secure authentication experiences, reimagining identity for a multi-device world, or creating secure foundations for AI-driven workflows, we enable Box to grow rapidly and securely. The modern, secure, and reliable services and frameworks we build are foundational to realizing Box’s ambitious vision.
