About The Position

Life360 is hiring a senior iOS engineer for its Global Monetization team. The role owns problems and solutions end to end, from identifying worthwhile opportunities and proposing a roadmap through building, launching, and maintaining purchase experiences for more than 100 million monthly active users. The engineer partners with a product manager to keep proposals aligned with team goals and helps grow international revenue by addressing market-specific pricing, payments, and compliance requirements. The work includes developing localized pricing and packaging experiences across storefronts and currencies, such as paywalls, plan selection, upsell and upgrade flows, and one-time purchases. The engineer also prototypes ideas rapidly, runs staged rollouts and experiments, and maintains existing experiences for reliability, performance, and quality. The team uses AI tools throughout ideation, coding, testing, review, and iteration; the engineer is expected to use AI coding assistants daily, exercise judgment over generated code, and help develop team-wide AI practices. Life360 is a remote-first company. This position can be performed remotely within the US and Canada. US salary range is $118,500–$216,500 USD; Canada salary range is $171,500–$201,000 CAD. Total compensation includes equity in the form of RSUs and benefits. The job title in Canada will be “Developer” in lieu of “Engineer.”

  • Experience with in-app purchases and subscription platforms, including entitlement handling, receipt and transaction validation, and refund and restore flows.
  • Experience shipping to multiple App Store storefronts, including regional pricing, localization, and regulatory differences in payment rules.
  • Strong proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit; familiarity with Xcode, Swift Concurrency (async/await and actors), and Combine.
  • Experience with iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, TCA, Clean Architecture, and modularization with Swift Package Manager in a large, multi-team codebase.
  • Comfort with mobile experimentation concepts, including feature flagging, A/B testing, exposure logging, holdouts, and guardrail metrics.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance, memory, battery, hang, and crash diagnostics, using tools such as Instruments, MetricKit, Xcode Organizer, or Crashlytics.
  • Experience with iOS CI/CD and App Store Connect release management, using Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers to shape the roadmap, bring proposals, and help write product specifications.
  • Rapidly prototype rough ideas into clickable experiences, using AI tools to accelerate the work.

  • Collaborate with product, design, data science, analytics, finance, and legal partners as needed for pricing, payments, and regional rules.
  • Own staged rollouts end to end, including ramping exposure, monitoring guardrails, and deciding whether to hold, roll back, or scale.
  • Deliver polished, performant, and reliable experiences, with attention to launch time, memory, battery, hangs, and crash-free rates.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement across mobile codebases.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to team processes, technical standards, and the evolution of AI-native engineering practices.
  • Use AI coding tools for substantive daily work, review AI-generated code, and remain accountable for shipped work.
  • Share effective AI workflows and prompting strategies, help teammates adopt AI tools, and recommend useful improvements to the team's tooling.
