About The Position

CyrusOne is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and maintain applications used by customers, suppliers, and internal business operations. The role has significant ownership in a lean engineering team, with responsibility for delivering software that supports customer interactions and business functions such as procurement and supply chain operations. Engineers are encouraged to make thoughtful technical decisions, experiment where useful, and use AI tools in development workflows.

The engineer will own features from concept through delivery, partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and shape solutions, and work across frontend and backend systems. The role also involves investigating production issues and contributing to technical decisions and continuous improvement. The successful candidate combines strong engineering skills with sound judgment, a product mindset, adaptability, independent problem-solving, and collaborative communication.

The position requires typical weekday (Monday–Friday) attendance in a remote or office setting. After-hours work may be required to meet business and customer needs. Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using C#/.NET Standard/.NET 6+ to build internal and/or external-facing applications.
• 7+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database management system.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Hands-on experience in a microservices environment using modern practices such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean/Onion Architecture, CQRS, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with publish/subscribe and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or MQTT.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in a Linux-based cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure, using Docker or similar container technologies.
• Exposure to frontend development using Vue.js 3, TypeScript, Node.js, or a comparable modern JavaScript framework.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-sized projects or features from development through delivery.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including analyzing complex technical issues and making sound technical decisions.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across technical and business teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while mentoring junior team members.
• Ability to work effectively within CyrusOne’s culture, core values, and business goals.

• Experience with CyrusOne’s specific technology stack, including .NET 10, Vue 3, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, SignalR, Microsoft Azure, Docker, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
