About The Position

Builds, tests, and engineers API applications and develops distributed systems, including microservices-based platforms and event-driven designs. Implements CI/CD pipelines, delivers high-performing solutions using cloud-native designs, and performs in-depth performance and resiliency analysis across core transaction systems, data processing pipelines, and API platforms. Drives modernization initiatives and contributes to cross-team technical efforts, including domain-driven design and shared service development. Works within development work streams to ensure architecture is scalable and extensible, using TDD and CI/CD tools. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications. The role designs applications or subsystems for major projects and multiple platforms, develops applications supporting divisional initiatives, supports all phases of testing through implementation, and produces comprehensive documentation. It also involves planning and conducting user acceptance testing, post-installation testing, establishing project plans for moderately scoped projects, and performing complex technical and functional analysis across multiple projects. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent), and three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer or in a closely related occupation developing enterprise web applications in a financial services environment; alternatively, a master’s degree in one of those fields (or foreign education equivalent) and one year of that experience.
Demonstrated expertise developing highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, performance-efficient, resilient, and secure solutions using microservices architecture, LWC Framework, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Demonstrated expertise designing end-to-end enterprise applications using Java, JavaScript, or NodeJS on cloud-based distributed platforms for client advisor and customer-facing applications.
Demonstrated expertise in capability-oriented design, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of financial services applications for investment analytics and investment performance using Java, Spring batch applications, or REST APIs within a personal investing domain.
Demonstrated expertise building decoupled, event-driven systems using Amazon SNS and SQS, and implementing large-scale, fault-tolerant data streaming solutions for asynchronous processing and high-throughput data exchange within financial applications using Apache Kafka, Flink, and Amazon Kinesis.
