Senior Software Engineer/Developer
About The Position
Develops omni-channel experience applications using VueJS, Angular 10+, TypeScript, NodeJS, HTML/CSS, and Java. Automates and deploys code using CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy. Builds and integrates HTTP-based APIs. Develops applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and browser developer tools. Migrates monolithic applications to microservices architecture using Node.js, AWS resources, and relational SQL databases (Oracle). Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications. The position designs and develops applications and subsystems for major projects across multiple platforms and divisional initiatives. It supports testing through implementation, assists with user acceptance testing, prepares comprehensive application documentation, and conducts post-installation testing. The role also establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope and performs complex technical and functional analysis across multiple projects. Candidates must meet one of two education and experience pathways: a bachelor's degree in a specified or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) plus three years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in such a field (or foreign equivalent) plus one year of relevant experience. Relevant experience is developing and securing web applications and APIs in a financial services environment. Demonstrated expertise is also required in the technologies and practices listed under Skills and Knowledge.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer or in a closely related occupation developing and securing web applications and APIs in a financial services environment; alternatively, a master's degree in one of those fields (or foreign education equivalent) and one year of such experience.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud-native architectures on AWS using Terraform, CloudFormation, and the Serverless framework.
- Demonstrated expertise integrating RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, and SES for reliable data delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise using DynamoDB, MySQL, and Oracle databases to support application workloads and data structures.
- Demonstrated expertise using Informatica and SOAP API integrations for ETL processes.
- Demonstrated expertise using Splunk, Grafana, and CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, and visibility into system health and performance.
- Demonstrated expertise developing scalable, multi-tenant web applications with React and GraphQL APIs.
- Demonstrated expertise engineering PostgreSQL schemas, Redis caching, and Node.js cron jobs for reporting workflows.
- Demonstrated expertise building configurable platforms with role-based access control, branding, and data segregation.
- Demonstrated expertise ensuring quality using Jest, Selenium, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated expertise in full-stack engineering with Angular, Vue, NestJS, and Java.
