At PathAI, we are constantly evaluating our tech stack and our current tools consist of: Languages & Frameworks: Python, JavaScript, Django / DRF, FastAPI, Vue Platform: EKS (Kubernetes), S3, RDS / PostgreSQL, SQS, MSK (Kafka) Tooling: GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Datadog We’re looking for a backend focused Senior Software Engineer to join our Integrations team. You will design, build, and maintain critical APIs and data pipelines that enable seamless clinical workflows and real-time data exchange across external systems and our core product.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related technical field.
5+ years of full life cycle development experience.
Demonstrated ability to take on complex tasks, learn quickly and work in a proactive manner.
Demonstrated experience and skills in designing and building Python-based (FastAPI or Django) applications.
Demonstrated foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed team and to work autonomously on projects.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to attend client-facing meetings and explain technical concepts to non-experts.
Demonstrated cloud platform experience (AWS).

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or closely related technical field
Experience working in the healthtech industry, including working with HL7, HL7 FHIR, or DICOM
Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or equivalent for building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab CI
Demonstrated knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Knowledge of some IaC framework
Experience deploying and monitoring VPNs
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.
