Senior Software Engineer, API's

Forter is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of scalable and resilient systems. The role involves ensuring reliability, latency, and security in order to meet the needs of customers. The engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing the API management platform, working with a talented team to create a secure and highly available system. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and building large-scale production systems, strong NodeJS skills, and familiarity with cloud environments and various databases.

• Help create new and innovative tools for customers and developers
• Maintain high standards when working with production systems
• Brainstorm features and make decisions based on data
• Mentor and be mentored by other engineers
• Provide software solutions to daily challenges
• Take initiative and contribute ideas for improvement
• Design and build large-scale production systems
• Utilize NodeJS skills and monitoring/alerting systems
• Build highly available and reliable systems with good engineering practices
• Experience with cloud environments (such as AWS)
• Experience with databases and data stores (such as Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL)
• Experience with container management platforms (such as Docker)
• Bonus: extensive networking/security knowledge

• 5+ years of proven experience in designing and building large-scale production systems
• Strong NodeJS skills
• Familiar with monitoring and alerting systems such as Grafana / Kibana
• Passionate about building a highly available and reliable system with good engineering practices and patterns
• Experience with a cloud environment (such as AWS)
• Experience with various databases or data stores such as Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL, etc.
• Experience with docker or other container management platforms
• Bonus: extensive networking/security knowledge
