About The Position

Google software engineers develop technologies used by billions of people to connect, explore, and interact with information. This role works on a project important to Google’s needs, with opportunities to move across teams and projects as the business evolves. Engineers are expected to be versatile, demonstrate leadership qualities, and take on problems across the full stack. The Geo team builds accurate, comprehensive, and useful mapping products, including Maps, Earth, Street View, and Google Maps Platform. Its services help more than a billion people each month explore the world and navigate their daily lives, while also enabling developers to incorporate Google Maps capabilities into apps and websites. In this role, you will build context-engineering pipelines, agentic workflows, and evaluation frameworks; assess model behavior and improve performance; enhance serving and evaluation infrastructure for user-facing features; collaborate across engineering, product, UX, and research; and use user metrics and model outputs to improve personalization and system helpfulness.
