In this role, you will serve as a technical anchor transitioning legacy architectures into modern, distributed cloud microservices, real-time messaging pipelines, and high-throughput data/API integrations. Your work will span our complete billing ecosystem, encompassing both claims processing (EDI 837 submissions, 835 payment posting, etc.) and invoicing systems (patient/provider statements, fee schedules, and billing reconciliation engines). Operating with minimal supervision, you will build and architect solutions leveraging Azure SQL Managed Instance, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Azure Service Bus (ASB), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Terraform, Kargo/Argo, and New Relic. You will author engineering best practices, champion clean code and system documentation, drive test automation, and actively mentor Associate Software Engineers on the team while partnering with product leaders and solution architects to deliver resilient, secure, and HIPAA-compliant healthcare software.

  • Prior experience refactoring or modernizing legacy monolithic billing systems into distributed, event-driven cloud microservices.
  • Practical knowledge of HIPAA privacy regulations, HITRUST frameworks, data masking, and secure Protected Health Information (PHI) handling.
