About The Position

Join Intel’s global Digital Engineering Solutions team to lead the design, development, and delivery of digital, cloud, data, and AI-powered solutions supporting Construction and Supply Chain organizations worldwide. This is a three-year contract opportunity. The role provides technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance applications. The engineer translates complex business requirements into technical solutions, advances engineering practices, mentors junior engineers, and influences the direction of strategic platforms. The position contributes to the delivery and continuous improvement of business-critical applications and platforms, from concept through deployment and operational support. The ideal candidate brings software engineering expertise, cloud-native development experience, business acumen, and the ability to lead complex initiatives. The position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and is eligible for Intel’s hybrid work model, which splits time between the assigned Intel site and off-site work. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical degree.
At least 7 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications and platforms.
Strong hands-on software development background using modern technologies such as C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, Python, or similar.
Ability to partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Experience bridging business and development teams by creating user stories, process flows, and implementation roadmaps.
Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and modern development practices, and ability to communicate effectively with engineers and architects.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving solution delivery from concept through implementation.
Strong technical leadership and ownership mindset, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, customer focus, and effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience designing enterprise-scale software platforms, APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and cloud-native solutions.
Experience with AI-enabled applications, Generative AI, LLM integrations, AI agents, machine learning platforms, and data-driven solutions.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub, Azure DevOps, containerization, and cloud platforms.
Experience translating complex business requirements into technical architectures, solution designs, and implementation roadmaps in collaboration with business and engineering teams.
Experience with analytics platforms, cybersecurity best practices, and large-scale digital transformation in construction, manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

Lead technical solution design, architecture discussions, and implementation strategies for complex business problems.
Collaborate with business partners, product owners, and customers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Lead development efforts across multiple projects and coordinate execution with global engineering teams.
Guide system modernization, cloud migration, AI integration, and platform scalability initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business value, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to technical roadmaps, capacity planning, release management, and engineering standards.
Support AI, analytics, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle and drive engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and influence the technical direction of strategic platforms.
Help deliver and continuously improve strategic business-critical applications and platforms through deployment and operational support.
