About The Position

NVIDIA is hiring an AI Networking Software Developer for its AI Networking software development and codesign team. The team works with NVIDIA hardware and technologies, conducts full-stack benchmarking for data-center-scale AI training and inference systems, and develops lower-level benchmarks. It emphasizes automation, in-house tools, community-accepted practices and frameworks, and contributing tools to public GitHub repositories. The goal is to ensure large-scale systems deliver expected performance in practice by identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement. The role involves developing AI networking communication frameworks and production applications for large supercomputers and data centers; building production tools and benchmarks for teams inside and outside NVIDIA; and enabling new AI models in the benchmarking infrastructure. The developer will analyze large-scale workloads end to end across hardware and software stacks, design automation systems such as large-scale parameter searches to find optimal configurations, and collaborate with networking and hardware teams to codesign features and software interfaces. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience; at least five years of experience; professional Python development experience; solid Linux expertise; and an ability and motivation to learn across a broad, evolving technology stack, from hardware and networking to large-scale AI systems running across clusters. NVIDIA offers eligibility for equity and benefits.

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Professional Python development experience.
  • Ability to build maintainable, long-lived tools that do not impose a heavy maintenance burden on the team.
  • Solid Linux expertise and willingness to work extensively in command-line environments.
  • Ability and strong motivation to learn and work across a broad, evolving stack, from hardware and networking to large-scale AI systems running across clusters.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of or experience with modern AI technologies and ecosystems, including PyTorch, LLMs, inference, and training.
  • Familiarity with cluster orchestration systems such as Slurm or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of MPI and HPC, InfiniBand, Ethernet, and networking.
  • Experience in performance optimizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI networking communication frameworks and production applications for large supercomputers and data centers.
  • Develop production tools and benchmarks used by teams inside and outside NVIDIA.
  • Enable new AI models within the benchmarking infrastructure.
  • Deliver end-to-end analysis and insights on large-scale workloads across hardware and software stacks.
