Senior Software Developer 3D, Computational Workflows

The Senior Software Developer 3D, Computational Workflows position at Samsung Research America involves working closely with designers to develop computational workflows that utilize data by using generative algorithms. The role requires proficiency in coding and development, as well as experience in computer graphics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software solutions and user interfaces that support and enhance creative design processes and products. The position also involves executing computational simulations and working with designers to provide solutions to visualize and capture the simulation process.

• 3D surface and volumetric modeling, 3D mesh computation
• Open GL, WebGL development
• Execute computational geometry, generative geometry development to employ into the design process
• Execute computational simulations including but not limited to CAD, physics, FEA
• Work with Designers to provide solutions to visualize and capture the simulation process

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience and training
• 4+ years of experience in 3D software development and/or related field
• Proficient coder and developer
• Experience in Computer Graphics
• CAD Software development experience is a plus
• Physics engine development experience is a plus
• Machine learning expertise is a plus
• Experience in Computer Vision is a plus
• Time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to think and act strategically and proactively
• Strong visual story-telling and communication skills
• Self-driven, willing to act on launching novel projects ideas and developing concepts from scratch
• Travel International and Domestic and work overtime when needed
