About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Senior Software and System Architect to join its Networking Software Architecture group. The group’s architects define next-generation architectures for DPU and NIC technologies. The role involves researching emerging technologies and shaping architectures across networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration, contributing to NVIDIA’s datacenter networking and security solutions. The architect will work with global teams and customers on advanced technologies and solutions, with the opportunity to influence the future of datacenter technology.

Requirements

B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of experience as a Software Architect or Systems Architect, including strong experience as a software developer.
Deep knowledge of and experience with C and Python.
Hands-on Linux development experience.
Cloud-networking experience.
Broad knowledge and understanding of networking protocols and common network topologies.
Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work concurrently with multiple groups locally and abroad.
Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Development experience with networking or security devices, such as NICs, DPUs, switches, routers, or firewalls.
Good understanding of operating systems and drivers.
Background with datacenter technologies, network topologies, and cloud.
Experience with DPDK, OVS, and OVN.
Experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes components, and subsystems.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture for cloud-networking and security solutions.
Design system architectures for DPU and NIC technologies.
Build end-to-end solutions spanning application-level software through hardware.
Develop fast, creative solutions to complex problems.
Write clear, effective, and reliable architecture specifications.
Evaluate new technologies, innovate, and rapidly develop proof-of-concept prototypes that can be developed into full products or solutions.
Collaborate with NVIDIA teams globally, including software and hardware architects, R&D, product teams, solution architects, application engineers, and field engineers.
Work with high-profile customers on advanced technologies and solutions.
