Senior Social Media Marketer

AbridgeSan Francisco, CA
$155,000 - $175,000Hybrid

About The Position

Abridge is seeking a Senior Social Media Marketer to lead its public presence. This role is for an individual who excels at social media as a craft, aiming to build a following within the AI community, among clinicians, and from health system leaders. Abridge, an AI company in healthcare, believes that category leaders are being shaped on social media and has the substance (product, team, CEO) to support a strong public voice. The ideal candidate will translate this substance into content, community, and conversation that grows over time. This senior individual contributor role will manage Abridge's presence on X and LinkedIn end-to-end, developing an operating system to empower employees as public voices. The marketer will write, brief, capture, and ship content with speed and brand judgment, targeting both the fast-paced AI/tech community and the more deliberate healthcare community. The role involves close collaboration with the Comms Lead, Creative team, and VP of Marketing on brand voice and editorial direction.

Requirements

  • Six to eight years of experience in social media or content marketing, with a proven track record of building brands from a small footprint into a meaningful community.
  • Demonstrated experience building social presence for a vertical industry audience and a technology or AI audience in parallel.
  • Hands-on fluency with X and LinkedIn, understanding their algorithmic and cultural differences, and ability to write natively for each.
  • A strong track record of building employees into credible public voices, including coaching executives, founders, or subject-matter experts into consistent posters and demonstrating resulting audience growth.
  • Outstanding writing skills in both short and long form, capable of crafting engaging opening lines, threads, and microcopy.
  • Strong content sense across formats, including writing, short-form video, carousels, and photography, with an eye for what constitutes good content.
  • An AI-native working style, actively using AI in daily work, holding informed opinions on its strengths and weaknesses, and seeking out new tools and workflows.
  • Experience within a high-growth technology or AI company, with a clear understanding of how brands move and resonate in that space.
  • Scrappy execution instincts, able to ship content quickly when needed without sacrificing quality.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including effective briefing and providing useful feedback to creative partners.
  • A low-ego, high-standards posture, characterized by directness, generosity with collaborators, and a focus on outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • A background as a creator, journalist, or editor.
  • A personal handle on X or LinkedIn that has grown to a significant following.
  • Comfort on camera, or behind it.

Responsibilities

  • Own Abridge's social strategy across X and LinkedIn, with Instagram as a secondary platform, setting editorial direction, cadence, content mix, and shipping standards.
  • Build two parallel social motions for the AI/technology community and the healthcare community, with distinct voices, formats, and rhythms, all serving one coherent brand.
  • Run the employee-as-influencer program, identifying internal voices, coaching them on platform-native writing, building an operating model for consistent posting, and measuring their impact.
  • Write high-volume, high-standard content including posts, threads, carousels, comments, and replies, acting as the first draft or final editor.
  • Brief, capture, and create content across various formats, including storyboarding short-form video, directing shoots, editing for speed, and briefing the Creative team for polish.
  • Build community by replying with intention, surfacing customer voices, amplifying conversations, and hosting real-time events.
  • Utilize AI as a force multiplier for the entire workflow, from research and ideation to drafting, repurposing, editing, and scheduling, setting the standard for AI content creation in marketing.
  • Measure social activity's connection to brand lift, audience growth, engagement quality, and pipeline influence, ensuring rigor and transparency.
  • Partner across marketing functions (Comms, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Events, Growth) as social media serves as the distribution layer for all content.
