About The Position

Under general direction, the Senior Site Superintendent supports execution of assigned Sustainable Infrastructure projects, helping ensure they are completed accurately, on time, within contract scope, and in compliance with applicable state, local, and federal requirements. The role promotes ethical conduct and adherence to safety standards among Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors, follows consistent project management procedures, and balances customer satisfaction with project financial results. The position supports project executives, construction managers, project managers, and delivery teams with field coordination, progress tracking, worksite inspections, materials and equipment coordination, subcontractor communication, and project documentation. It may also contribute to project development, estimates, surveys, demonstrations, training, and implementation of best practices. The role may require travel to project sites outside the assigned geography, potentially extensively. The hiring salary range is $94,600–$130,000, with compensation determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent work-related experience.
At least 4 years of installation and crew leadership experience in the Building Construction Industry.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical material to a non-technical audience.
Strong personal computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and a basic Windows environment.
Ability to travel based on assigned projects, which may be outside the assigned geography.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Lighting, HVAC controls, Electrical Systems, Solar Systems, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems.
Ability to identify system types in the field and properly document them and proposed alternatives using appropriate systems.
Strong communication skills with customers, subcontractors, and labor populations.
Ability to travel extensively, if required.

Responsibilities

Support Project Executives, Construction Managers, Project Managers, and delivery teams on assigned projects.
Track project schedules and progress against the plan, and provide schedule input and progress updates to the Project Management team.
Assist with surveys, audits, field measurements, estimates, and quotations under supervisor direction.
Inspect jobsite work for safety, quality, counts, and compliance with contractual scope.
Assist with expediting materials, equipment, and supplies in the field.
Communicate project progress and issues to management and recommend tactical workarounds.
Assist with or support demonstration product installations for process development, sales demonstrations, or proof of concept.
Train or assist in training installers and subcontractors performing Johnson Controls scopes of work, and support the establishment and implementation of best practices.
Help oversee project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes, and installation techniques.
Support selection, ordering, and delivery scheduling of project materials; receive and secure equipment at the site in accordance with safety and security guidelines.
Attend job progress meetings as required and ensure subcontractors understand project expectations.
Facilitate escalation of product-related problems.
Assist Project Delivery Consultants and opportunity pursuit teams with project development alongside facilities management, LDOL, or other project team members.
Perform other management-assigned project tasks related to supervision, documentation, change logging, and progress tracking.
