About The Position

This role is responsible for on-site project management of assigned MEP projects, focusing on sustainable infrastructure. The Field Project Manager will manage schedule milestones, monitor workforce levels, and control scope creep to ensure project conformance with the construction plan. They will implement site safety and security procedures, develop the safety program, and foster strong customer and subcontractor relationships. This position operates under general supervision, working in conjunction with the Construction Manager and Regional Resource Team.

Requirements

  • 0 - 1 years of construction management experience or Bachelor's Degree in Project/Construction Management.
  • Understands project scope and customer expectations.
  • Understands resource and revenue planning/forecasting.
  • Proficient in software scheduling tools and applications.
  • High level project management process competencies.
  • Strong proficiency in MS office (excel, word, power point), Adobe Writer, Visio, MS Project, basic Windows environment and internet business application usage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • On-site project oversight and primary on-site leadership for execution teams.
  • Management, supervision, and coordination of all self-performed and subcontracted work.
  • Planning, developing project schedules, controlling project activities, and executing according to plan.
  • Overseeing project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes, and construction techniques.
  • Reviewing design scope and approach for constructability and submitting recommendations for change.
  • Actively pursuing additional work through change orders.
  • Reviewing and interpreting contract Terms and Conditions, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Monitoring productivity and cost, recommending changes to mitigate problems and maintain cost effectiveness.
  • Reporting project status to ensure profitability goals and management of cash/cost/billing.
  • Daily customer interface, anticipating customer needs, and providing clear communications.
  • Attending job progress meetings and ensuring subcontractors understand project expectations.
  • Overseeing site safety and security, ensuring safe execution of field construction activities.
  • Ensuring project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and JCI standards.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives, and/or scheduling changes.
  • Performing associated cost estimates and preparing proposals.
  • Coordinating customer-training requirements.
  • Assisting Market Team Operations Manager and/or sales in project development efforts, including audit timelines and project execution.
  • Developing cost estimates and sub-contractor scope documents and soliciting bids.
  • Traveling based on assigned projects, as projects may exist outside of assigned geography.
