About The Position

Five9 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and support Software Defined Storage (SDS) and Kubernetes platforms in a private cloud environment. The role focuses on scalability, resilience, automation, and performance through Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices. It requires expert-level knowledge of Software Defined Storage and Kubernetes, plus extensive working knowledge of Linux operating systems. The engineer will collaborate with platform and SRE teams to maintain secure, performant, multi-tenant-isolated services for high-throughput, mission-critical applications. The position designs and operates storage architectures across private and public cloud regions, supports enterprise storage and SDS platforms, and builds self-service storage workflows for Kubernetes CSI and OpenStack consumers. It develops automation and infrastructure delivery processes, establishes observability and auto-remediation, and maintains highly available, disaster-recovery-capable infrastructure. The role also involves technical design documentation, cross-domain troubleshooting, on-call rotations, incident response, root cause analysis, and global collaboration on change management and operational practices. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in Five9’s Dallas office. The US base salary range is $90,700–$252,200. Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, or other applicable incentive compensation. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage beginning on the first day of employment; short- and long-term disability; basic life insurance; a 401(k) plan with employer matching; mental health support resources; an employee stock purchase plan; paid time off; company-paid holidays; paid volunteer hours; and 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
