About The Position

Johnson & Johnson's Surgical Robotics Supply Chain organization is recruiting a Senior Service & Repair Planner, Robotics. The role is a full-time position located in Santa Clara, CA with an expectation of being in the office 3+ days per week. The Senior Service & Repair Planner will be accountable for the overall end-to-end FRU and Spare Parts planning, alignment and systems in direct support of the business. This includes SKU/FRU-level forecasting and trending, identifying supply/demand gap and developing strategies to resolve, maintaining Service Plant master data and working closely with cross functional partners to deliver high customer service levels. Additional responsibilities include facilitating Service & Repair Demand Review forum and identifying drivers of key performance metrics and action plans to meet/exceed business targets. This individual must possess creative problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning. The Senior S&R Planner will interact, coordinate and influence regularly with Service/Repair team and cross-functional partners including SC Planning, Operations, Engineering, Finance and R&D to ensure aligned business decisions are driven and appropriately communicated throughout the organization. This individual will report to the Surgical Robotics Strategy and Plan Leader.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, service operations, or repair planning.
  • Proven experience with Service replenishment planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
  • Experience managing spare parts and repair orders (preferably in a global or multi-plant environment).
  • Experience in medium to large capital Service & Repair Planning (especially new product launches) and Inventory planning (including field inventory, forward stocking locations, and trunk stock).
  • Ability to work effectively and execute solutions in a cross-functional, team environment.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities.
  • Strong priority management capabilities.
  • Proven analytical/quantitative skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies.
  • Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and/or Advanced Planning & Schedule (APS) experience.
  • Strong ERP/MRP system proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector.
  • SAP experience especially S4/Hana.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience.
  • Proven track record of challenging the “status-quo”, visualizing potential opportunities and implementing actions to build value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy servicing/repair planning and inventory management processes and tools to manage capital and re-usable consumables on-site, FSLs, Trunk, including Global.
  • Partner with service & repair to ensure appropriate inventory and customer service targets.
  • Generate forecasts by maintaining and updating the FRU Model as required.
  • Maintain Material Master data for service-related items.
  • Process and manage Field Service Engineer (FSE) Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) requests and orders.
  • Oversee Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) for FRUs.
  • Participate in Global Cycle Counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Create and track Repair Orders from initiation to completion.
  • Achieve service planning metrics including inventory ($), Slow Moving/Obsolete (SLOB), and customer uptime.
  • Responsible for identifying and initiating planning scenarios to drive/support decision making through the process.
  • Overall Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Creates and maintains in-depth analytical tools to support issue resolution, decision making, and execution oversight.
  • Responsible for identifying and driving improvements of the FRU model.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Service & Repair, Finance, Engineering and supply chain teams.
