We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to support early validation of membrane protein targets through development and application of quantitative, cell-based assays. In this role, you will contribute to building and executing scalable experimental workflows that generate high-quality data on target expression, localization, and behavior in cellular systems. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to support discovery efforts across Therapeutic Areas.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of scientific experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years scientific experience OR Associate’s degree and 8 years scientific experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years scientific experience

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience, including leadership of scientific projects or teams
  • Strong expertise in flow cytometry, imaging, and cellular assay development
  • Experience working with membrane proteins or receptor biology
  • Experience with scalable or high-throughput assays workflows
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques or genome editing approaches to support assay design
  • Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute scalable cell-based assays to assess membrane protein expression, localization, and internalization
  • Apply flow cytometry-based approaches to generate quantitative and reproducible data
  • Integrate complementary approaches such as imaging-based assays to support target evaluation
  • Develop and optimize assays for robustness, scalability and consistency
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data to support target evaluation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into discovery programs
  • Maintain high standards of experimental rigor and documentation
