The Opportunity We are hiring a Senior Scientist, Discovery Biology to join Rezo’s Biology Team. In this role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary group combining genetics, proteomics, structural biology, and AI to tackle challenging biological questions and develop transformative therapies. This opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in cancer biology to develop and execute cutting-edge cellular assays for target validation and compound screening. Requirements

  • PhD in cancer biology, or a related field with relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
  • Candidates with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 10-12+ years of expertise, including CRISPR technologies and cancer research, are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong hands-on experience with 2D/3D tumor models and molecular biology techniques.
  • Proficiency in genetic manipulation of cancer cells, including CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi, and other genome-editing tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving oncogenesis.
  • Skilled in performing immunoblotting, proliferation/apoptosis assays, and phenotypic screening assays.
  • Proven ability to work independently while fostering collaboration in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize molecular and cellular assays to study protein function in 2D/3D tumor models.
  • Design and execute CRISPR-based genetic studies to evaluate target function and therapeutic potential.
  • Develop and conduct cell-based functional assays to profile small molecule drugs and inform structure-activity relationships (SAR).
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret findings, and prepare reports for internal discussions, regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate scientific results.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
